Specialists consider energy the engine of industrialization in countries and the proper employment of accessible energy resources is said to be the key factor in economic growth after human resources.
The finite nature of fossil fuels and nuclear energy resources, and their detrimental impact on the environment has made the use of renewable energies an inevitable and significant matter. Energy specialist around the world agree that renewable energy resources should have a bigger role in supplying the world's energy. But the use of renewable resources is limited by the costly process of attaining energy from them. But concerns regarding the environment and also the rising price of fossil fuels has led to new regulations which advocate the use of renewable energies. So focusing on these resources and researching ways to best employ them for energy in inevitable for all nations.
Pertaining to this, the Renewable Energies and Environmental Engineering department with the aim of educating specialists required to move the nation in the direction of using renewable energies was developed and is now accepting graduate students (M.Sc. and Ph.D.).
