Aerospace Engineering is the primary branch of engineering concerned with the design, development, test, and construction of aerial and space vehicles and the related systems and subsystems. It is divided into two main and coinciding branches: aeronautical and astronautical engineering. The former deals with systems that operate within the Earth's atmosphere, and the latter with crafts that operate in outer space. For students following an aerospace engineering degree, a background in mathematics, physics, computer science, and chemistry is significant.

Currently, the Aerospace Engineering Department offers Master's and Ph.D. degree programs in the following five major fields:

  • Aerodynamics
  • Flight Dynamics and Control
  • Propulsion
  • Satellite Engineering
  • Space Engineering
  • Structures

Furthermore, the group is planning to expand its activities by establishing the following programs in the future:

  • Aerospace Systems Design
  • Air Traffic Management
  • Micro-Nano-Fluidics Engineering
